See what students are saying about Ms. Kendall:
I like this class, I feel like Ms. Kendall does a good job teaching and making sure that we understand what’s going on in class. Last year I was so bad at math and always had a bad grade I would complain to go to that class but this year I get lots of things and I have a good grade and I like coming. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
I like how she isn’t like other math teachers she isn’t rude or mean or anything like that she’s actually fun for one. For two she’s really nice and kind and even when she’s not in the mood she isn’t like other teachers who yell at us for no reason at all, she actually tells us that she’s having a bad day and I like that she apologizes for her mindset in case she seems frustrated at any of us. I hate math but I love her class and I love having her as my teacher. She’s the reason I like math at least little bit and looking forward to her class everyday. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
And its the first time I’ve ever had a teacher part of the LGBTQ+ community. I fully support her because LGBTQ+ people are just the same as us human beings. She still is like one of us no matter what she is or likes or anything at all. I truly like this class I’m honestly comfortable in this class I can be who I want to be. I can be myself I don’t have to stay quiet and hide when I get called on like I do with other math teachers I don’t mind trying to answer the question. Even if I don’t understand or know the question I’ll still answer because I’m comfortable answering. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
I wouldn’t ask to change my math class, I’m comfortable where I am. I like this class alot I truly wouldn’t like another math teacher. Ms. Kendall is honestly the best she doesn’t really throw a fit about anything as long as we participate. That’s my honest opinion I like Ms. Kendall’s class this year and the assignments aren’t that hard nor easy so its perfect. This classroom brings me joy at the end of the day. 🙂 [7th grade, Fall 2024]
What I enjoyed about Kendall’s class was that she takes the time to help us and care about her students. She is very kind in what she does and she takes the time to make sure we have a better understanding of the math we are learning. She is very polite in what she does and she is setting us up for success. And she has a kind heart. She also makes her assignments not to complicated to make sure we understand them. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
I like how Ms. Kendall actually shows how to do the work step by step and she actually helps on things your struggling on. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
What I like about this class is that Ms. Kendall makes the class as positive as it can be and she makes sure we are okay, Either if it’s work or mental or physical health. And I also like the funny side of Ms. Kendall where she can have our humor and try to relate with us and that keeps up an easy conversation even if it has to do with work or other things!
By the way… Thank you for being a supportive teacher. [7th grade, Fall 2024]
I really liked math class this year. I like this class because the teacher explains things in a way that is easy to understand and without much confusion. This year was easier for me than the others. In math, I used to get B’s or C’s, but this year I got an A in math thanks to the way Ms. Kendall explained the activities. [6th grade ELL student, Fall 2024]

What I liked about Ms. Kendall’s class this year, is the effort she puts in this class. She is able to keep her cool while dealing with other misbehaving students, but she still believes that they should succeed in life even after they did or say something going against the rules in ccsd standards, and is a very nice teacher to have. [7th grade, Fall 2024]

What brought me joy or what I liked this year was the teacher and the classmates as well. Miss Kendall is really nice and funny I’m grateful for being in her class I cant imagine another classroom or even new classmates. I have gotten used to the people here, it was scary and uncomfortable but mostly staying here gave me comfort. Now I got used to the people around me for the assignments. I like them as well.
If the beginning year me and I told them were actually good at math now she wouldn’t believe me, I couldn’t imagine me trying to get good at math nor saying the answers. It gave me confidence and I’m glad it did. I proved myself that I really can do it if I really want too it brought me joy, as I got to get better at math I was happy I listened I watched very move my teacher made to know how to do it, and I feel better at saying the answers. Yes other people are better then me at math but I know I can get better I know that I made it past me would never believe me, never ever.
I’m glad I’m in her classroom it probably gave me more confidence I have ever had in a math class. I’m grateful I’m in her class it highlights my day when I do a good job, so thank you for giving me joy and confidence miss Kendall thank you again miss! 💝 [7th grade, Fall 2024]
